What the Wheel Balancer Finder checks
The Finder compares current wheel balancers against only the requirements you enter. Rim diameter, rim width, overall assembly diameter and wheel weight are treated as separate physical checks. Application support, centering hardware and workflow features are checked independently so one large capacity number cannot hide a missing adapter or unsuitable machine class.
Results are limited to a small shortlist. A machine is not promoted because it has an Amazon listing, a higher price or a longer feature list.

Worked example: a heavy truck wheel changes the shortlist quickly
Enter Heavy-duty truck / commercial service, a 22.5-inch rim, 11-inch width, 42-inch overall diameter and 300 lb assembly weight. Passenger/light-truck balancers that might appear large enough by rim diameter fall away because their published wheel-weight limits are typically around 135–175 lb and they are not documented as heavy-duty machines.
The current heavy-duty candidates—Ranger RB30T, Atlas WBT-210 and Coats 6450—remain plausible on those size/weight entries because their published limits extend to 330, 440 and 500 lb respectively. The result still points you to truck centering/tooling details before use.
Worked example: requiring road force changes the result for a different reason
For an ordinary passenger wheel, selecting Road-force measurement as required is not a size filter. It is a diagnostic-feature filter. Hunter Road Force Elite remains because the manufacturer explicitly publishes the load-roller road-force function. A Coats E900 can publish runout diagnostics and still not qualify as a road-force machine.
This separation prevents a broad “advanced diagnostics” label from turning into a capability the manufacturer does not claim.
Center-hole entries are useful only when comparable tooling information exists
Weaver publishes a 44–158 mm cone range for current 40 mm machines, so the Finder can compare a center-hole entry directly. Other manufacturers may publish the shaft diameter but not a complete standard-cone range. In that case, the result stays useful by telling you that the centering hardware needs to be checked rather than pretending the wheel fits.
Why some current models appear with a manufacturer-detail note
Atlas WB11 currently has different maximum rim and wheel-weight values in its live product page and current manual. Ranger RB30T currently gives two different maximum tire diameters on the same product page. Coats 1500 materials differ on whether automatic width entry is included in the current wording, and KATOOL KT-B700 pages differ on supply voltage. Those machines can still appear when other specifications fit, but the disputed detail is not used as a definite limit.
The note is there to tell the buyer exactly what to verify—not to score the brand or suggest the machine is unreliable.

Frequently asked questions
How does the Wheel Balancer Finder handle missing specifications?
A missing value does not become zero or an automatic failure. The result tells you which detail is not published clearly enough to rely on and keeps that uncertainty separate from fields that do match.
Does the Finder rank road-force balancers above conventional balancers?
No. Road-force capability matters only when you select it as a requirement. Otherwise the Finder compares machines against the wheel, application and workflow preferences you enter.
Why does the Finder ask for wheel weight separately from rim diameter?
A wheel can be inside the rim-size range and still exceed the balancer's assembly-weight limit, especially for commercial truck wheels and some specialty assemblies.
Can the Finder prove a center hole fits if no cone range is published?
No. If cone or center-hole coverage is not published, the result tells you to check the exact centering hardware rather than assuming diameter and weight are enough.
Do Amazon listings affect the Finder order?
No. Retailer availability and affiliate relationships are not used as technical-fit inputs or ranking factors.
